Penny Lane is an award winning photographer based in Bali and Australia and has been a freelance fashion & portrait image creator for 20+ years..… argh, who hasn’t heard this generic spiel before!


I LOVE taking photos. I love working with teams to create that magic on set that we all wanted, conceptualised, mood boarded, pre-pro’d, shot listed , but even then takes us by surprise when it takes a next level turn of wonder! I love working hard, I love being so dedicated to getting the shot and getting lost in the movie of the moment that you forget to breathe or drink your now cold flat white ( well, I don’t usually forget that completely) … I’m still inspired and engulfed in the life that is photography and cant imagine not doing it. ( although, I’ve been expanding with some creative offshoot projects and ideas - ask me about them) …

I love meeting new teams to work with and seeing what they’ve made with their inspiration and passion and we can together create something beautiful and meaningful. I love photographing people who might not enjoy photoshoots in the past and making them feel incredible and getting a creative and interesting portrait that they actually want to share with the world! I love sets with nice people, have a strict no-bad vibes rule, and still treat every photoshoot like it’s my “big break” that some fabulous designers and creatives gave to me back in Perth a zillion years ago when I was just starting out, and I will forever be grateful too..

Long story longer, I create Pictures. Im a terrible writer, this you can tell is not made by chat GPT, but gratefully writing is not my job. To create amazing photographs, videos and content is, and if you’d like to talk more about what you are working on and what I might be able to help you with to fulfil your brief ( I love working to a clients brief and getting them exactly what they want! I’m not a precious photographer, I love a create exploration)
